MAP Policy

MAP Policy and Advertising Schedule for 2025

The Kindthread Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy supersedes all previous Landau and White Cross Minimum Advertised Price policies. The MAP shall apply to all dealers, distributors, and resellers (collectively the "Dealers"). The effective date of this MAP policy is January 1, 2025.Kindthread is issuing this MAP to reflect the changing structure of the brand portfolio, to protect Kindthread’s brands’ image and to protect the dealer’s investment in our brands. Kindthread does not intend that this MAP policy affect, set, or otherwise restrict the actual resale price of a product.

  1. The MAP applies to the current price list and all future seasonal price lists for 2025.
  2. The MAP applies to all media advertisements, (including, but not limited to, television, radio, newspaper, or magazine advertising), in catalogs (including, but not limited to, direct mail pieces, email campaigns, or flyers), in any online format (e-commerce, mobile applications, internet sites, or social media platforms), or any other alternative media format.
  3. Dealers may not advertise off-price sales below MAP on any products with any Kindthread brands including Landau and White Cross. 
    1. All collections must be advertised at MAP pricing except during Sales Periods as defined below at no more than 20% off MAP price:
      1. Back to School event: Jan 14 - Jan 20, 2025
      2. Nurse's Appreciation Week: May 5 - May 12, 2025
      3. Prime Days: TBC
      4. Back to School event: Aug 1 - Aug 7, 2025
      5. Prime Days: TBC
      6. Black Friday / Cyber Monday: Nov 24 – Dec 1, 2025
    2. No collections are excluded from MAP events.
    3. Closeouts and discontinued merchandise are not covered under the MAP. Kindthread does not stipulate any pricing or discount policy on these items.
    4. Any advertised promotion of Kindthread product(s) that effectively reduces the price of the Landau and White Cross product below MAP or inflates the list price to imply a discount will be deemed in violation of the MAP policy. Such promotions include, but are not limited, to the following:
      1. Discount coupons in an advertisement that excludes other uniform brands but does not exclude Landau or White Cross brands.
      2. Site-wide sales or coupons that do not exclude Kindthread brands.
      3. The offer in an advertisement includes a price range or discount range that does not exclude Landau or White Cross brands.
      4. The offer includes both discontinued product(s) as well as current product(s) whereby the offer for the product(s) is not clearly separated from the offer for the current product.
      5. The offer in an advertisement for an entire uniform stock or inventory sale or discount does not exclude Landau or White Cross brands.
      6. Advertising or otherwise marketing for sale Landau or White Crossproduct(s) in any manner that is factually incorrect or otherwise misleading or illegal is prohibited.
      7. Kindthread may unilaterally amend this Policy at its sole discretion.
      8. Nothing contained in this MAP policy is intended to affect, set, or restrict the actual resale price at which a Dealer may sell a product.
      9. The offer displays an inflated list price and discount that implies a sale of an item or collection by Kindthread even if the discounted price is on MAP.

4. Should a dealer violate this MAP policy, Kindthread may take the following action:a.1st Violation: A written email and/or letter to notify Dealer of violation. Dealer must correct violation within 1 business day.b.2nd Violation: Kindthread may suspend shipment for 30 days.c.3rd Violation: Kindthread may close the dealer's account.

5. Kindthread may monitor the advertised price of Dealers either directly or through the use of third-party agencies.

6. KINDTHREAD SALES PERSONNEL OR OTHER EMPLOYEES HAVE NO AUTHORITY TO MODIFY OR GRANT EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY. All questions or comments regarding this MAP policy are to be directed to the MAP coordinator at MAP@Kindthread.com.

7. Any dealers wishing to sell any Kindthread brands' product on a third-party's website must first obtain express written authorization from Kindthread.
